Well, I was at church last night for the Ash Wednesday service. And I was leafing through the bulletin because I was due to read the prayers. And one of the hymns was noted as being in the "LBW."
I realize now that it stands for Lutheran Book of Worship. But I didn't at first. So, I gave it some thought. And I also got distracted a little about a video I'd watched about Shakespeare in my English class. (I'm Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet.)
Two things entered my mind at the same time:
1) "...lend me your ears..."
2) Little Brown Walrus
These two thoughts combined produced:
Said the Little Brown Walrus, "Lend me your ears."
Thus, I have been given an idea from God (blasphemy, I know) to write a children's story, possibly with stick people illustrations, about a little brown walrus.
The details haven't been worked out. But I have a single line and motivation. Apparently, my young cousin has recently decided that he wants to be like me and write stories. He knows that I write. But he doesn't know what I write. And he hasn't read any of it because its not appropriate for young folks.
My motivation:
Write a story that my young cousin can read, as a means to show him what writing is and how much fun it can be.
He already loves to read. I have but to set pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard rather.
I might write it this weekend. And I might illustrate it. I'm just trying to think of a clever way to compile the pages and illustrations to seem like a picture book.

Go for it! sounds like it could be a fun story. Are you going to share it w/ us when you finish?
So, whose ears does LBW want to borrow?

I might be convinced to share. It depends on if I write it. And it also depends on if it is any good.
As for your second question, I haven't really decided.

It looks as if walrusesreallydolackears. Perhaps he can borrow a pair from an elephant.

That is a possibility.

Or, maybe he can try, in vain, to borrow ears from others who are just as earless as he.
Like the bird, the alligator, the turtle, the fish, etc.
