Baseball hall of famer Kirby Puckett died here in Phoenix. He suffered a stroke.

He was only 44. [Frown]

So sad. Kirby Puckett really was a hero to a whole generation of Twins fans.

He was my hero. And he's the same age as my mom. Granted, she's considerably healthier than he is. But still. [Frown]

I heard this yesterday. It sucks, and even though it's been pointed out to me that he had less than sterling character, he was a great ballplayer, clubhouse guy, and teammate for a long time.
