I wanted to ask this in the new influx of Hatrackers like Reticulum and Jeesh coming out and saying they are under 18. I'm not saying this as a bad thing its just a suprise to me. So to try to tally up Hatrackers average age I wanted to see who are our oldest Hatrackes and who are our youngest (Squoose has already been counted).

So how old are you? [Confused]

Posted by Amanecer (Member # 4068) on :

This might be helpful to you. It's a little old, but I guess you could just add a year to everybody's age. Remember that any average you get is only of the people that respond.

I'm under 18.

Posted by Advent 115 (Member # 8914) on :

Okay thats not helping. (I mean Steve, not Amanecer that helps alot)

Just post your age Steve, unless your an infant we won't be terribly suprised at this point after all the othe people who have come out with their real ages.

Posted by SteveRogers (Member # 7130) on :

I'm not going to say it again. I'll give you a hint though. Its in Reticulum's landmark; its on page one somewhere. I don't like giving out personal details TOO much.

In the US, you'd qualify for membership in AARP (the American Association of Retar... um, Retired People), a group that provides insurance discounts, medical discounts, and other benefits to Americans 50 and older.

I'll qualify in just over a year. [Angst]

Dang, I didn't think we even had hatrackers as old as Cashew and Artemisia. I'm not being trying to be mean, I just thought OSC was the only Hatracker we had who was in that age range.

But I am glad to see so many responces. And hugh, just think about the possability of cheaper theater tickets. [Wink]

[Roll Eyes] Darlin', Hatrack has been around for many a moon before you heard of it. Before you heard of OSC, for that matter. And while there is nothing wrong with being 13, neither is there anything wrong with being considerably older.

Let's see... If you average together 1.92, 26.2, and 22.86, the average age of Hatrackers in this household is 16.93. None of us is close to that. So I'd say a median might be more helpful...

Nah. Much larger sample size, and with a more even distribution.

Well, the Big Boog is defintely going to skew the graph a tad. The magic number is currently 57. I had already figured out that I was on the upper end of things here at Hatrack. It does seem to give me a view of how the "youngers" look at things--and for that, I guess that I am thankful.

Thinking about this, I'm just not exactly sure who is the oldest active Hatrack poster.

As rivka said, I believe sndrake is older than Bob_S, but in this thread we also have cashew, who is 53 (between the two) and Artemisia Tridentata, who says he's 60, which I think beats Stephen. And boogashaga says they are 57. I think OSC is right around very early 50's. I think Bookwyrm also used to be in this group, but he doesn't post much now, and I don't remember his age.

Prime-of-lifers, unite!

So who do you think is oldest? Who have I left out?

FG
