Hokay, so I loved Shogun Total war immensly. And I played it constantly, but then I switched computers, and I hadn;t kept the key code for downloading it again. So now I am stuck with the cd but no way to re-download it onto my computer. Is their anyway out of this or do I just have to buy it again?

Also, Is medieval total war any good? I have rome and the expansion, but I was going to buy medieval as well, is it worth it?

I don't know. I haven't played that one. I am betting it is good though. My friends told me it is good. Try that one, too.

I thinky you should play the original Age of Empires. The original original.

World of Warcraft. So cool.

Age of Empires is really good too.

Warcraft 3. Awesome.

I'm going to have to second the Medieval Total War recommendation. In many ways it is the most polished of the Total War games. It also has the extremely awesome Napoleonic Total War mod. The only place it really suffers is in its extremely poor diplomacy options. Besides that it is a very enjoyable game. If you are a fan of the other total war games, you would be doing yourself a major disservice to not get this game.

Sweet. I have to agree on the wow and aoe suggestions, great games.

But does anyone have any suggestions on my situation concerning the shogun issue?

Bah. If you're going to be retro and play games with a technology that's five years out of date, why not be really retro and play Dune II?

Because Shogun was a far superior game, plus I loved the videos of the ninja assasination attempts, especially the attacks on diplomats.

Medieval is awesome. It's amazing how you can start playing and then 6 hours later feel like 10 minutes has passed. I haven't played Shogun or Rome, though I know one of my friends prefers Medieval to Rome.

Well I would defenitely try rome, both it and the expansion are truly wonderful. I love sacking a few roman cities, and then making them pay exorbitant amounts of money to have the cities back, ceasefire, and trade rights. yeehah.

Well as long as we're being really retro, why not break out the good old chess board.
