Apparently, it is offical now. I mean, I like most of Steven Spielberg's stuff.

But I'd just thought it was rumor that another Indianna Jones movie was in the works. But not is official. And I'm a little surprised.

It'll be fun to see if Ford can still fill those boots, that hat, and use a whip without hurting himself.

We posted something about this back when we were still updating mildlyamusing.com.

I think our working title was Indiana Jones and the Prostate Exam, but I still really like the ring of Indiana Jones and the Polyp of Doom.

I thought it was official months (if not years) ago.

Was it? This was the first I'd seen about them actually having a script. And the first I'd seen about them being able to start filming soon. Or maybe I just didn't notice awhile back...there is no telling.

I'm notorious for missing this sort of news when its first released.

They've been talking about this for 6+ years, and they agreed from the beginning not to accept a script until Lucas, Spielberg, and Ford all agreed on the script. They have produced a handful of scripts over the last several years, none which have been accepted.

This is official, because it is the first script to be accepted by all 3, so now they are free to start shooting. Of course, that doesn't mean they won't procrastinate shooting.

With as many years as it's taken to get a script, and as picky as they have been, let's hope it's something good. I really don't want the Last Crusade to be considered the last "real" Indy movie.

Oh, and does anyone else get leary that Lucas has anything to do with the script? Keep that man away from anything that looks like a script! Put him in the idea center.

Of course, he isn't the one writing it, they're just getting his approval, and Spielberg and Ford have had their approval involved, also, so I suppose I will relax a bit [Smile]

I read one, once. If it was real, it was terrible and I'm not surprised it was rejected.

Someone on Ain't it Cool News put it nicely. Roughly: "George Lucas has a problem with the script? George "You killed all those innocent women and children, that's so hot" Lucas has a PROBLEM with the SCRIPT???!!!"

Is Harrison Ford still doing good movies?

I liked the last one, and doubt this one will be half as good. [Big Grin]
