Sasha is only 5 and a half.

Last week he went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade, and came back with three business cards from local Army recruites.

OK, they are having trouble hitting quota, but come on. 5?

(All right, they may have been aimed at my 14 year old nephew who is interested in a career in the armed forces.)

I could handle that talk. He has a few years before he can legally sign any papers.

But then on Tuesday he came home with a dollar bill in his pocket.

Momma, "Where did you get this."

Sasha, "From Meredith." Meredith is a 6 year old schoolmate of Sasha's.

Momma, "Why did she give it to you?"

Sasha, "Because I was nice to her."

OK, I didn't think I'd have to have that talk about older women paying cute boys to be nice to them until he was at least 16.

I've posted this here before...

When my adorable nephew was...seven, I think, he and my brother were riding their bikes around the park. There was a woman jogging along the path, and my nephew rode up beside her and started talking to her.

My brother finally said, "Come on, Zack. Quit being a womanizer."
My nephew said, with a perfectly straight face, "I'm not a womanizer. I'm a love machine!"

I was feeling kinda down today at church (long story), so I went to the nursery, and one of my best friends little sister (she's ... 1 or 2 I think) came over and gave me a hug and a kiss. She just sat with me a while until I was cheered up, and then when I got up to go, she hugged my leg (she comes up to a little above my knee), and waved 'bye bye'. Then, right before I was out of sight, she blew me a kiss. *sniff*. Made my day.

But back somewhat on topic, when I went back to my friends of similar age, they asked where I'd gone, and I said "Oh, I just went and hung out with my girl, smooched a little bit." [Kiss]

I'm just hoping my friend doesn't hear about it. She has told her little sister repeatedly that she is not to kiss guys. [Evil Laugh]

My neice, wehn asked if she would be a flower girl for my wedding, burst into tears. When her Aunt Jenni (my wife) asked " What's wrong, baby?" she replied " You can't marry Wobby....I WANNA MARRY Wobby!".

What can I say, she has good taste, even if she doesn't pronounce my name as "Wobby" any more. [Big Grin]

Kwea, when we told our families we were getting married, I wound up delivery the news to my wife-to-be's niece. I said, "I'm going to be your new uncle."

With a straight face she looked me in the eye and gave me a determined, "NO!"

My little cousin once sent me a letter to come visit her and in it she told me she couldn't wait to see me but not my husband; I could leave him at home. This was years ago and she was talking about my first husband who has no personality.

My daughter tells me all the time that my husband is her Daddy and he is my Honey ("Mom, he's your honey, right?". I love the way she says honey too. It is so cute.
