I want a little dragon. Mommy, if I take it for walks every day and clean up all the messes, can I have one? Please?

You know, this article appears just in time for the April 1st edition . . . and the previous article ("A Fishy Tale," linked to as "Fools' Goldfish"), about "hox genes" and all, was also on the April 1st edition (of 2000) . . .

I too call for an April Fool's prank, but jeeze, the Economist? They're the source I used all of the time in Extemp. For shame... but so beautiful at the same time.

Okay, no fair them having a prank up a day early. It was still March 31 when I read that. And the article is dated March 30.

*sigh*

Still, it'd be fun to have my own dragon.
