...-yes-, I tuned into the "Kid's Choice" awards just so I could watch the various movie trailers.

Anyway, things that worked:

Wilbur seems cute and endearing.

Charlotte doesn't look hokey.

Dakota Fanning, despite being over-exposed, seems to play Fern well.

Steve Buscemi is an inspired choice to play Templeton.

Things that worry me:

All these extra celebrities stuffed into the story, with brand new animal characters created to play them.

The cow passing gas gag. Uh-huh.

Julia Roberts' delivery seemed to lack energy.

Anyway, hoping the film is good and my fears are groundless.

Of course, I won't know until December...

Not to my knowledge, though I expect it'll be put online before too much longer.

I'll bet she means remaking movies.

The HB animated Charlotte's Web was based on a book by E.B. White, as is the new live action version by Walden Media. It's not a remake. [Smile]

Is Dakota Fanning the only young girl in Hollywood that can act?

Movies she stars in tend to do well critically; she's reached that point where people expect her movies to be good-- and therefore, are more willing to pay eight bucks to watch them.

View the large version of the teaser here.

I'm convinced that it's the Nickelodeon influence that gave us the cow fart scene. [Angst]

Still, it looks cute...no idea if it'll be as poignant as the book. One can only hope.
