Okay I just finished Shadow of the Giant because it finally came out in paperback, and I'm curious to hear the responses of fellow readers.

I personally wasn't ALL that satisfied with the ending, it's a romantic type of idea that Bean "dies" on Earth, but never truly dies, like a true hero. But here's the thing, we saw Ender's fate why can't we see Bean's too? I'm curious if they ever find a cure, what happens to his 3 infected children, and how do the other battle schoolers handle their colonies and stuff. There were just a ton of loose ends, like Bean's whole thing, Volescu and Anton's Key, the Dead-Man's Trigger, etc etc... And like, at the end of the Ender series the planet full of viruses what happens with that? It just seemed rather empty.

And for the book itself, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it didn't seem like much happened, through the middle of hte book anyways. It reminded me of some kind of Cold War, like they were always planning but not everything went through. I liked the philosophy and battle strategy, but I wish there were more on the characters.

There are going to be a couple more books, at least one of them dealing with Bean and/or his kids. Also, you might want to post this on the other side (discussions about orson scott card) because you'll likely get more of a response there.

How about a spoiler warning in the title, guys?

The word "review" doesn't equate in your mind to "spoiler warning?"
