They've all had new video hit the net!

First up, for all the X-fans (don't read into that) out there, Hugh Jackman shows a clip on Leno.

Then to Metr-australia, where you'll believe that superman can drink Coke (oh, and fly).

Finally, French TV station Cine6 let slip the Casino Royale teaser trailer (French dubbing and cheesy end extra included).

Yay for cinema 2006.

Edit: Got a rough translation on the dialogue for the Casino Royale teaser:
-M: Maybe I shouldn't expect a bulldozer to understand that...any thug can kill...I ask you to put your ego aside...
-Bond: You want me to be half monk half killer?
-M: I knew you would be too immature for this.
-Bond: I've heard that 00 agents have a limited lifetime.

I keep trying to see that guy as Bond.
I fail every time.
Not saying that he doesn't look like an action hero, but he's not my image of Bond. Too rough and blond. He'd make a good brother for Jack Bauer, though.

I'm quite looking forward to the X-men movie.

I agree, Bella. Not polished enough for Bond.

Am I the only one who though that the XMen clip looked really dissapointing?

I'm not so sure about the X-men. I mean, it could be cool, and it could just be another sequel. It all depends.

Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm not going to go see it... [Razz]

I was kind of underwhelmed by the X-Men clip also. When did they stop trying to act? I'll be happy to see sentinels though.

The 2nd and 3rd clips didn't work for me. The 2nd was missing some quicktime file that wasn't available for download (I got audio, but no video) and the third was some kind of text file. Any ideas?

None of those links worked for me...but I'm using Firefox.

Edit: got the first one to work, but having the same problems as Juxtapose on the last two.

I tried using IE, and was able to get the Bond clip to work. Superman still hates me. It must be because he knows I like Batman better.

Since we're sharing blockbuster trailers, here's one for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

My thoughts:

The X-Men clip looked pretty uninspired with bad camera angles, cheesy dialogue, and a B-movie level trick to hide the Sentinel. Plus, why is a Sentinel in the danger room when they haven't been introduced into the series yet? I've heard that it's just a "for-the-fans" thing and they won't actually be in the film, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if they show up.

Superman Returns looks fun and well made, but nothing we haven't seen before. I'll search around and try to find another link for it too. Edit: Does this work? (for download)

As a huge Bond fan, Casino Royale looks like everything I could have hoped for. Enough actual tension and brutal fights without losing the exotic sense of the bizarre which made the series. Ohh, except that truly aweful end ramp where it looks like they just grabbed Craig out of bed after a bender. (Other than that I thought Craig looked good, he'll be fine as Bond).

Ohh, and the Casino Royale teaser POSTER.

The X-Men clip was god, god awful. Honestly, that's almost bad enough to make me not want to pay to see this movie. UGH.

Who said they were in the danger room? [Confused]

The Superman thing only plays sound for me. I'll try it in IE (shudder).

Only sound in IE as well...

Rumours here and there (and it explains Wolverine just wandering around as if nothing matters).

This is a really terrible resolution but it's in flash (I think) so it might play for you Bravo.

Ooo... Now there's a good looking trailer. Thanks for the link, I hadn't seen it yet.

LSM, thanks for the superman link, that one finally worked for me. I'm dissapointed, though not at all surprised, that Superman has the same old lame blue and red costume. I'll never like that thing, but there are some things people just won't tolerate.

The X-Men clip makes a lot more sense to me if they are actually in the danger room. Wolverine's comment, "they're not ready, Storm," and his casual walking around fit better now.

He looks more like a bad guy than Bond himself. Bond looks more suave than that.

You can still get hurt or killed in the danger room though, can't you? It's not like the holodeck in Star Trek where you can turn on the safety and even bullets won't hurt you. Things in the danger room are carefully controlled, but still physically real. It's like training with live rounds.

You know, I always wondered about that. Admittedly, I'm not the most extensive X-Men reader, but I can't ever recall someone getting hurt or dying in the danger room. Maybe the writers just figured it would be a lame way to get rid of a character. Maybe they can adjust the reality settings?
