Wouldn't it be funny if all the really good people you know suddenly disappeared overnight?

Posted by Synesthesia (Member # 4774) on :

Maybe I should do something demonic...
But what?
hmmm

Posted by starLisa (Member # 8384) on :

Bob, I'd rather if all the really bad people were to disappear. You'd think a good God could pull that off, no?

Posted by kojabu (Member # 8042) on :

Hide. Quick. You only have 13 minutes left.

Poof!

To answer Bob's question

Well, I'd be mildly disappointed all the "good" people decided to up and leave me with a bunch of "bad" people.

Actually, I'd be thoroughly disgusted they didn't think to ask me along.

So who needs them? [Smile]

You lose.

So the apocolypse has started in Houston. Has it spread anywhere else yet?

No, wait, it's just June in the deep south, my bad. It's hard to tell sometimes.

Wait until 6:06 06.

There is nowhere I know of where the number 06062006 has any occult significance.

I was asleep for 06:06am, 06/06/06. I mean, by military time, it was just 18:06, 06/06/06.

But eighteen has three sixes! [Angst]

Several of my friends were going in depth as to when the Devil would pop out and kill us all. They said I will be the only one left (I have a cross I alway wear) I can't wait to laugh tomorrow. One signed my yearbook 6-6-06 Heed the Omen HA HA HA...

How odd would it be if today really was the day? I mean, it would be terribaly ironic and a great display of human emotion if all of us sat here and made jokes about it... and then it really happend. We spend most of the day, and week in advance, talking about the humor of the day and some people even discussing the significance, but ultimatley not many of us thinking it will really happen. What would you think in that final moment when it started and you're left thinking "Oh man, it is really happening tonight." We probably woudln't even be left with the time to think about all the things we should have been doing, instead of cracking jokes. I'll see you later, I'm gonna go see the Omen and then probably drive up to Hell, Michigan.

Posted by F.M. Swamp Fox (Member # 9480) on :

Hell yeah... no pun intended.

Posted by andi330 (Member # 8572) on :

Of course, there have been many 06/06/06 dates in history. Once every century in fact.

Life is funny that way.

Somehow, I don't think that counts as the apocolypse. Sorry.

I have a headache.

It's pretty frustrating.

It's good to know the lord of darkness is confinded to a 24 hour deadline. Atleast we have another century to live it up and then either make fun of it, or ask our confessions.

P.S. - keep in mind, I say this all in good humor not out of any real opinnion.

Did anyone actually go to see The Omen today?

I'm not honestly sure I heard any positive things about it. Just that if won't ever be as good as the first. But you hear that for every remake

Actually, we probably only have to wait another 18 years. See, he was probably born today and his training will take at least 18 years. Heck, he can't even vote until then. (On the other hand, given the penchant for the theatrical in most Christian myth, it's probably more likely he won't actually start his "ministry" until he's 30.)

I know it makes me a very bad person, Stephan, but that really made me laugh.

I hope your cousin's birthday was ok in the end, though.

(See? I'm trying to be better!)

How many times do I have to say it. The end isn't coming until December 21, 2012. Jeez.
