Posted by Stasia (Member # 9122) on :
I totally want one.

Why?
Posted by jebus202 (Member # 2524) on :
Putting. Full. Stops. After. Every. Word. Is. Really. Really. Annoying.

I find myself drawn to them because they're just plain bizarre. (If you were asking me why I want one rather than just plain why would anybody invent one).

I changed it.

not really.

So...do they toys synchronize with each other? That'd be kind of neat.
Otherwise, they are just sort of boring, really.

CUBIES!!!!! We have a few of these. And yes, if you click them together, they will "sing" together.
And the kid just pulled out our Stitch...
Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :
Goody,
do they sing a different song when they are together, than if they are apart? Do they sing more than just a few songs.

AaaaaaaaaaaaaAah!

It's creepy...
It's like what life would be life if the Borg ever assimilated Walt Disney.

<-- Will stick to collecting Pez dispensers.

They each have about a half dozen songs that they *sing* solo, some of which are still completely unrecognizable to me. If they're connected, they *sing* different stuff, with each Cubie playing a different part of a multi-part harmony.
We've noticed that if Tigger is on top of Stitch, we always get one song that we haven't been able to identify. With Stitch on top, we've had three or four, all nursery rhyme stuff.
You can stack up to 6 together according to the packages. I think I saw 8 different characters when I got mine, but I'm not positive.
(by the way, I think this now proves that among all of us, Hatrack is expert at EVERYTHING.... we even have someone who knows about freaky Disney Cubies!)

Hey, that's actually kind of cool. I'd like a more advanced version of this- you know in nice wooden blocks that, when you fit them together, play different tunes.

I believe there was a children's product called Composer that did this, Teshi, and allowed you to construct "songs" by assembling rhythm, instrument, and music segment blocks into various stacks. The parent company died, though, and they stopped manufacturing it.

That's a shame. I think that if done properly (and not terribly out of tune like these poor beasts) it could be a really nice thing to have. Like an interactive music box.
I think whoever could make these really work well and look and sound nice could make quite a bit of money.
It's very futuristic, too.
EDIT: You could call them "Music Blocks", like "Music Box", gettit? A Music Blocks Music Box.

Yes, creepy is definitely the word. <shudder>

That's a little odd.
You know... just a little.
