Variety reports that Disney will no longer release an average of 18 films a year. From now on it'll be about 8 films per year. This includes films Disney puts out under its Touchstone Pictures label and its Hollywood Pictures alias.
Massive lay-offs and budget cuts are expected to be announced soon.

The article seemed to indicate a tightening of the belt all over.
The Studio Ghibli stuff is only distributed by Disney, not made by them, so it won't be affected. I think.
