Hooray! No longer will I have to search my book collection for something that I wouldn't mind reading an umteenth time; no longer will I pick up random romance novels that my girlfriend left lying around; no longer will I ring my hands in angst over having nothing to read: I have THREE books that I have never read!

This may not sound like much, but it hasn't happened in a while and is, well, just too dern exciting. I have Albert Camus' The Plague and A Happy Death and Mary Doria Russell's Thread of Grace.

Oh, that just reminded me that I lost Charles Bukowski's Ham on Rye on the bus last week. That's sad. Sniff. But it won't bring me down, because I have new books!

I also have a $25 B&N gift card, so I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any. What new books are you reading? Have you read any of the aforementioned books? What's on your list of books to buy? What author's are you obsessing over that I can obsess over too?

Perhaps you could try your eyes on one of the following:

"Confessions of an English Opium Eater"
(sorry the author's name slipped my mind)
"Un Uomo" by Oriana Fallaci
(and no, this isn't a silly pun or reference to Austin Powers)
"The Hippopotamus" by Stephen Fry.

I personally enjoyed these books so much that I had to read them twice. Good luck with those new purchases.
