Sometimes I'll hear this song on the classic rock station.
The vocalist sounds like the one in Jethro Tull and it's about war but it's NOT WAR PIGS.

Civil War by Guns N' Roses? That gets pretty good rotation on classic rock stations.

Maybe, but it's a smoother vocalist... Sort of classical sounding.
I can't remember the lyrics right now though. Just that it's about war.
