This is a dobie, but ... not a dobie, because we do need a tool thread [Smile]

Hammer, myself. Though my fingernails are inclined to disagree.

Today, when my husband gets home from work, he's going to let me use the laser level to tape off my newly painted dining room so I can stripe the walls.

Tools are cool.

Love hands-on stuff. Tools are great. I find screwdrivers to be nifty things.

Pipe cutters are way cool.

My tool skills are limited to making bassoon reeds. I love my hot mandril and needle-nosed pliers. My kids all know my limitations. So, why do they "call home" everytime the car breaks for Dad to tell them what to do. They would do just as well writing to Dear Abby.

I love tools. I'm currently building a stock fence, so that has given me a reason to get lots of fun stuff. My current favorite is a 72" long post hole digging bar, with a point at one end and a blade at the other. This thing has made digging post holes in rocky ground trivially easy.

My dad has a miter saw and a lathe, along with several other tools, that he says he'll give me. I salivate in anticipation!

Tools are awesome! I really like wire strippers. They are so handy when you're wiring stuff. Nail guns are super cool, too! I wish I had an excuse to buy one.

nothing beats the interesting mixture of a nail gun, power drill and blow torch!

Blow torches are really fun. Though not so fun when they come in contact with skin. In fact, at that time they are not fun at all.

I really actually tend to have horrible luck with tools. They almost always involve some sort of pain. It's a real shame, considering my last two jobs have involved tools very heavily. As in, using them all day. Oh well.

There's a whole set of tools that are exclusively used for piano tuning and maintenance.

Those are my favs.
