Click For Itinerary

So a computer illiterate co-worker asked me to help her confirm the trip she booked online several months ago. We noticed that Continental did change several of the departure and arrival times that were listed on the original confirmation. Most notably she is expected on the return journey to arrive in DC 142 minutes BEFORE leaving Bangor.

Can't see the image, but I'm betting on time zones, champ.

Yup. I think I've actually been on a flight that landed earlier in the day than it took off, because of time zones.

She crosses the international dateline [Smile] .

edit: wrong Bangor, I didn't click for the itinerary.

Yeah, timezone thing.

I don't think time zones can account for arriving in DC 2 hours before leaving Maine. They're in the same time zone.

Ah, I see.

They didn't invent the time machine, they expect your friend to. She needs it to make her connection.

Continenal is HORRIBLE. I had a bad experience with them the last week of July. When I FINALLY made it home, I wrote a letter and made a conscious decision to never fly with them again if at all possible.

Good thing you guys checked out the info before she was mid-trip!

Definitely the same time zone. It says total travel time -142 minutes.

Heh, I didn't notice that. That's pretty hilarious. Aside from that, leaving Bangor 13 minutes after getting there is almost as unrealistic.

On a trip back from Guam, I landed in L.A. three hours before I'd left on the same day, and arrived in D.C. rougly two hours after my initial departure from Guam.

I love going from Asia to America because I get the day back, I hate going back to Asia because I lose it.

If I'm reading it right, she lands in Bangor Friday 9/1 at 2:17 and leaves Saturday 9/9 at 2:30. I'm still reeling at the fact that she is scheduled to leave New York nearly 5 hours before she gets there, though.
