So said Sasha. He's been to Disney World, Six Flags, Moscow and New York City. He was talking about....

...

...

The St. Louis Art Museum.

I just about busted a gut with pride when he said that. We looked at stuff from real mummies to medieval armor to moder sculpture. While he didn't sit still in front of any one exhibit, and we only saw about 1/3 of the place in our limited time, I am just thrilled that he likes the place, and we will be back.

I love it, Dan! That wonder and awe at the world is what I vowed to myself not to lose as an adult. I was seven. (Whether I've succeeded is a MUCH different thread [Smile] .)

Kids are great, and yours sounds super.

[Then again, it also reminds me of the anecdote in the Christine Lavin song: she babysits for her niece, and when the parents come home, Christine somewhat reluctantly, tenderly -- not wanting to hurt the parents' feelings -- tells them that the little girl told her it had been the best day of her entire life. The parents reply, "Lately, she's been saying that every day."]

[snobby tone]
Sasha is clearly a gentleman of refined tastes, refreshingly unaffected by the rampant commercialism that ensnares so many of today's youth.
[/snobby tone]

That's awesome! He's such a cool kid! [Big Grin]
