This looks really neat. I don't know that I would want to use something like this though. I'm not sure that it would actually make things any easier or better for me. But at the same time, I feel applications of this sort definitely have promise. And the idea of it is very cool.

But I don't want my desktop to resemble...well, my desktop. That'd be a significant downgrade in organization.

I would lose all my stuff!!!!!!!!!

yeah Juxtapose, I agree. I think it would worsen my organization rather than help it.
still neat.

"Neat" might be the wrong word.
Seriously, though, I always enjoy seeing innovation. Thanks for sharing.

I don't get how that's any different from my current files on my current desktop.
Oh joy, I can accidentally bump a whole lot of files all over my computer, just like I do on my desk. Will it have virtual Coke for me to spill on my bills?

It seems like it would work for people who organize by piles and amazingly still seem to know which pile has what. Other than that, I can't see it as being useful.

I don't have desktop icons. Big "Quick Launch" toolbar, but no icons. I prefer my Wallpaper to be a Wallpaper. When's the last time you put "post-it"s on your wall painting?!
As for the "real workspace" feel, they really missed the point of computers, didn't they?!? Cute, but useless.

I wonder if they actually think it's new and different, not just a repackaging of files and folders.
I worked for a few years with software where folders were called "drawers" and had a visual representation of a wooden office desk as the wallpaper. Then you could put your "pages" into "drawers" instead of putting files into folders.
GENIUS!

This is pretty cool. I wouldn't be using this for organization, really.

I like it. I'd use it because it's different, if nothing else. It seems like this destkop is just a workspace, rather than an actual folder on your hard drive.
It would be nice to change the background, and filenames would be useful.
