Blayne, are you just hearing about this?

Ya know, I could only see the thread title, and not the creator, but I knew it was Blayne. [Smile] . Are you posting this in specific reaction to something in the Wiki article or just in general dismay over his death. Because there have been a couple other threads about that. Regardless, it is a shame.\

Here is the thread where it was announced on hatrack.

I think my favorite line from that thread was dan raven's:

quote:
I picture the hand of God reaching down into the ocean and swiftly, gently picking up the soul of Steve Irwin, turning to all of us in the audience, and in a flawless Australian accent, say, "Croikey, isn't he beautiful."

No is no
No is always no
If they say no, it means a thousand times no ♫

No plus no equals no
All nos lead to no no no♫

Finger pointing, eyebrows low
Mouth in the shape of the letter O ♫

Pardon me -- No!
Excuse me -- No!
May I stay?
Can I go?
No, no, no ♫

At first I thought you just saw the ending to Star Wars 3 where Darth Vadar seems to be doing a Futurama Parody. Stand-up, stagger, scream "NOOOOOOOOOOO," and have the camera zoom out.

But it was about the tragic Death of Steve.

So here I present a Steve Irwin Star Wars Parody: The Jedi Hunter.

Where have you been for the past week? The moon?

And here I thought that perhaps China had declared Communism a "Failed Experiment." or "Taiwan and Tibet are both granted independance, Hong Kong free to vote on the matter." (They'd probably vote to stay attached to the mainland in Hong Kong)

Instead I am reminded about Steve Irwin, and I only recently stopped thinking about him and feeling sad.

GAH!

I also thought of Darth Vader's infamous line at the end of Star Wars 3 when I read the title.

the Taiwan/Tibet thing is never ever going to happen, kinda like pushing Israel out of the West Bank is also a pipe dream for arabs.

Yikes. I thought he was poisoned by the barb, not stabbed up through the chest into his heart!

Yes, but news just doesn't seem to get there as fast as it should.
