The regular size rolls of toilet paper were packaged exactly like the double-size roles, and were on the shelf right next to them. I accidentally picked up the normal roll pack instead of the double-roll! [Mad]

For the last 4 days, I've been spending at least 50% of my waking hours changing toilet paper rolls. It's like that's my job now, inadequate sized toilet paper roll changer. I'm not even that little. [Frown]

Damn you, regular sized rolls! I hear you laughing at me, with your little quilted mouths! [Evil Laugh]

I hope nobody else has made any similar offal mistakes recently.

Were the giant bars of bran and fiber right next to the single sized rolls of toilet paper?

Do you shop at the same store I do? They're so tricksy!

Oh, and thank you for reminding me about my intestinal health. I nearly forgot my after-lunch Metamucil.

Something is surly up because that is sure a lot of toilet paper to be going through in 4 days. Wow! But then you must be spending the other 50% of your time in the bathroom too.

It's not just me in the bathroom, there are roommates and house guests. Maybe they're hording my toilet paper, aware of the imposed shortages of the tiny rolls.

My girlfriend is probably trying to become a TP baron, lording her stock of paper over me! What twisted paths flow from a single-roll pack of Quilted Northern.

Mighty Cow is male.

If a male is forced to change one roll of toilett paper a decade, then to them that seems like a never ending chore.

I am male and tend to be the one that changes the rolls of toilet paper in our home!

Has anyone used those new mega rolls, that you need an extender for?

Posted by GravityPrevails (Member # 9740) on :

I never understood how an extender would work. Does it extend it sideways, which would be impossible? Or forward, which makes more sense...

More important than how often you change the roll... does the paper roll off from teh top of the roll or from underneath??

They need to hurry up and invent the never ending roll.

From the top! Never from the bottom!

I think I've seen that movie.

Yes, they are AWESOME.

I am facing this same difficulty. I mistakenly entrusted my boyfriend with buying my toilet paper. While he correctly bought the correct brand (there is no toilet paper but Charmin') he bought merely the "Big" rolls and not the correct "Mega rolls." He shall never be entrusted with this momentous task ever again.

I don't quite get the appeal of having enormous rolls of toilet paper. But, then, I have a toddler, so bigger rolls mean more time spent rewinding.

Obviously from the top. I tell my girlfriend, "The waterfall, or not at all" as a mnemonic device, for the rare times she bothers to change the roll at all. [Mad]

I don't know if I trust the MEGA rolls. That extender seems like a CIA listening device, at best.

I'm happy with the Jumbo rolls, when they don't trick me with evil deceptions to make me get the micro-mini-4-sheet rolls.

I made this same exact mistake. Those ARE NOT regular sized rolls. They're like a carboard tube with some fuzz on it. They don't last long enough to argue about which way to install it.

I think a lot of times women don't realize just how much toilet paper we women actually use. One of my ex boyfriend was absolutely baffled by how quickly he started running out of toilet paper when I spent more time at his place.

It sometimes seems like I'm the only one in my family who actually puts the roll of TP ON the dispenser as opposed to resting on the floor next to it or on the back of the toilet. Consequently, I get to choose which way to install it, which is UNDER, since it's easier to grab some TP with one hand, leaving the other hand free to hold a book or a newspaper.

We solve the whole problem by keeping the TP roll in the cabinet next to the toilet, because we have a cat who is a paper shredder.

Top OUT, bottom IN. Anyone who does otherwise is a Communist terrorist.
