Several people recently have said that I know everything about everyone on hatrack all the time. I'm not sure how to go about this. Does anyone have any ideas to either test my knowledge or prove me wrong? I think there was a test made to prove SteveRogers a jatraquero or something, but i forget, I guess that would work.

Shalwaar kameez is correct, but what about colors and accessories? Who's wedding? What's our main mode of transportation? Come on, you gotta answer all the questions to play... [Razz]

And, yeah, Canada is sooooo wrong. [Razz] (I've never actually discussed it anywhere here, so if you knew, you wouldn't be just a stalker, you'd be a psychic stalker. [Wink] )

Fahim's brother's wedding, and yes, it's his wife who's pregnant.

For accessories, I had a really nice and expensive (to me) chunky turquoise and yellow gemstone necklace, earrings, and ring that Fahim got me that matched my turquoise shalwaar kameez perfectly. [Smile] I love the jewellery. [Smile] Really, really love it. [Smile]

Yeah, good answer, actually, considering that, beyond a couple of family members, no one knows. Like I said before, you'd have to be a psychic stalker to know that one, so on this one, you lose no points. [Smile]

Carrie, I have no clue

Mike, I'm pretty sure it's near the east coast, and I think it might have to do with circuses.

Icarus, Catholic, something sox (the east coast one), camp counselor and computer programmer, I'd assume a cruise

KQ, green, Emma _______ and Bridget Niamh, you pretended to stalk both rivka and frisco, with rivka it was hair, frisco was grapeseed oil, the she would be rivka, but I'm not sure how you quit. I know nothing of your middle names. The "e" is silent in Anne, and the "t" is silent in Ketchupqueen.

Lyrhawn, in love with Erosomniac, studying history because you've yet to take any ed courses, favorite color is navy.

Telpy, Karl, your mom died, detroitish

Porter, I'm sure you can, no you aren't allowed

Ryuko, I don't know your favorite color, but I'm pretty sure you were there when bob and dana met (or at least had icecream, garlic if I remember correctly).

JT, you're 6'2

Farmgirl, I don't forget anything that isn't related to chemistry classes.

Dr. Strangelove, 18, FSU, not sure.

Kat, 3, papa was uncle moose until darling Mooselet was born (or at least concieved). Matt's sister married your cousin.

Noemon, be nice. But I have no clue how your foot was broken, I'll guess wrestling, I seem to remember you in that convo.

All caught up.

The second one is half-right, if vague, and the last one is right, if vague (and yeah, I brought them here; I wouldn't call them Hatrackers, although two of the three have post counts over 100, one of them over 5-600, so I think she qualifies now).

They're hatrackers when they register, jatraquero's (a's) when they post and become part of the community, and real when they meet two real jatraqueros. Hatrackers still applies though.

I've never seen the distinction made between Hatracker and Jatraquero; I've always seen the two terms as being synonymous, with Jatraquero having enjoyed its moment in the sun and now being in the process of fading into obscurity.

Here's a question that should be easy for people who were around when it happened: who coined the term "jatraquero"?

[Edit--man, people are typing quickly! When I started this the last post was breyerchic's "I'm sorry noemon, I have no idea" post]

Not sure what you mean, but I turned 22 in February. <wanders off to find thread>

Who did I deliberately try to pick a fight with when I first joined Hatrack?

How many sisters does my mother have, and where do they live?

Why did OSC mail me a copy of Sarah?

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

umm, I have no clue who you picked a fight with in 2000, I was 14.

Your mom has three or four sisters and at least one lives in Dallas.

OSC mailed it because you lost your signed copy.

Posted by katharina (Member # 827) on :

Oh my stars, you were 14 when I first joined Hatrack. [Smile]

Sadly, the part about my mother's sisters isn't right. THe part about OSC sure is, though. [Smile]

Every good Mormon picks a fight with Tom Davidson when they first come to hatrack. At least, that's what Annie tells me. I can't think of any good questions about myself. Well, unless you remember the fictitious name of my boyfriend in my 5th landmark, which I removed before it was archived.

Pretty good. Em's middle name is Rose. But you didn't say why they're named what they are. [Wink] [Razz]

Good job on the stalking rivka, it was indeed her hair, and she gave me some to get me to quit. [ROFL] I don't stalk Frisco, just objectify him. Get your facts straight. [Wink]

The middle name thing has been mentioned at least four times, so I don't think you're stalking me very effectively on that one.

Yes, the e is silent in my name-- but why do I have a silent e? Why am I not Ann?

Because I've read Anne of Green Gables so I know the E is much better than without.

What's your middle name story.
My middle name at birth was my mother's maiden name (which she actually kept.) My middle name now is my maiden name. If I had had a pretty middle name I would have kept it, but since it was a last name and started with the same letter as my married last name, I decided to switch when I got married. The "last name as middle name" thing is not so awful for a boy, but growing up, I thought it was awful for a girl, and that's why I resolved to give all of my children, or at least all my girls, nice middle names. I may give my maiden name to a boy as a middle name if we have a lot of boys, but I may not. I'm not sure, and we'll cross that bridge when (if) we go through the first four boys' names we have picked out.

<sidenote>
My parents did that - gave last names to my brothers for their middle names. I got a pretty middle name (Jane), but it's also a family name. My mother was Janeen, my grandmother was Jean, my aunt was Janet, and a great-grandmother was Jane. Jane seemed like a natural appelation.

My brothers' middle names are awesome, though: Steele, Parker, and Dare.

I'm going to offer some questions about myself.

How many siblings do I have, how old are they.
Who convinced me to join hatrack (this one is more specific than you'd think)
What am I majoring in (although slowly).

Oh, I think I might be able to answer Breyer's...or at least partially.

You have 3 or 4 siblings, but they're all substantially older than you.

I'm guessing fugu, but I'm not positive.

And you're majoring in education.

I don't know if I can think of anything about me that isn't really obvious, but here's a shot at it.

What are my dogs' names?

What kind of car did Jim and I buy just under a year ago?

Where did I grow up?

Edit: too slow. [Grumble]

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

I have one half sibling, and actually he's older than you, I'm pretty sure I've said that somewhere.

It's not fugu, that's still half credit.

Yes it's Education.

Your dogs are Max and oh dear what is the little one's name.

I'm not sure what you bought a year ago, really I do fail.

You grew up in the Atlanta area.

What are my majors, and which Hatracker has the same majors?

Philosophy and econ, ack I knew.

How many students attending my university had connections to Hatrack prior to coming here?

Nini and possibly you.

What's the connection between the last two questions?

Also, what major thing in our personal lives do Quid & I share (two possible answers to this, but I don't think you'll get either one).

Love of hot foods and dating a muslim man (abhi and fahim).

Fairly good. Celaneo has the same major as I do. Both Raia and I were Hatrackers before coming to DePauw, and Celaneo's little sister just started up here. Thus the connection. I think the two things that Quid & I share (that most people don't) is living with a Muslim guy (mine's my roommate Thalith from Bangladesh) and being in a relationship with a Sub-continental fellow. Abhi's Hindu, not Muslim, & he's from India.

Megan, thanks.

CaySedai, 2 daughters I think they're about 6 and 10 but that could be off, Cayla and Amanda.
I believe your sister and possibly neice have posted here, as has one of your daughters, You're doing quid's friday writing thing, you attended "the wedding", ElJay and Fugu either picked you up or returned you home. You gave to Icarus last year, recieved from Aiua (I only slightly cheated on that one, looked it up in the files from the winter exchange).

Stray, I thought you didn't have a husband right now, you work with computers but I'm not sure where at the moment, it was the cyclotron but that was temp, you have several cats and ferrets I think, foster kittens in the spring. And it was Tyler, I don't think his sisters know that much about hatrack, and I'm not sure they know my name (though Ana should).

Jebus, your first name is Paul (or you lie), you're 18 or 19, I think you may live in Dublin, but I know very little about Irish geography, and i'm pretty sure you were at Pweb first, but that could just be more.

Mack, $666,666.

Vassalia, 28 (that's such a guess but it's pretty close to the hatrack average)

HansenJ, Jeni, english, endercon, umm.

Tante, umm I'm thinking Rivka, but I'm not totally sure, I ignored you for a while, then you grew on me. Don't know where you'll be Oct2nd.

Kate dearest, of course I know your gender, and where you go for happy nights (or mornings). Toronto.

I'm really afraid to ask more personal stuff. You know everything. [Angst]

Corwin, you went to Anna's wedding.

Breyerchic, No weapons. Knives have to fold or they stay home. And guns only on a BSA approved range. That goes for adults too. (Especially Adults)
ALSO: Electronically reproduced music and games have to stay locked in the car.

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

Well, mine wasn't boyscout, though at least one of my boys was a boyscout. And the knives did fold, except for the cooking one I brought. They also had wooden baseball bats and sticks.

We actually got it a few months ago, but it was a bad set of DVD, so got a replacement for it last week, and this one is almost as faulty, so we're going to have to take it back again for another replacement. Hopefully, we'll get a good set soon so we can watch all the episodes that crapped out.

We also have Lost season 2 that's in our 2Bwatched pile, sitting there for the last few months... And a whole bunch more other stuff. [Smile]

*laughs* Season 4 cost us $8 and season 5 was $14, but season 4 no longer exists in the stores - ours are damaged and we can't get them replaced at the moment, and season 5 is also damaged and we haven't got a good set yet. That's one of the sad realities here - not all DVDs play properly out of the box.

Belatedly, yes, you were pretty close with most of these. I am currently divorced, I'm a computer programmer at IU though no longer at the cyclotron, I did have both cats and ferrets when I was with my ex but have just four cats now, two of which are kittens from the litter I fostered last spring. Chocolate is one of my favorites. The other is Huy Fong's Sambal Oelek, the bestest chilli paste on the planet, and no one's sent me any of that. Unfortunately. [Frown] (Well, no one from Hatrack. Except for one thing. A fair number of the rest of us have known about as much as she -- in several cases including things she has not known.

Anyway, the fact that someone knows all these things doesn't make them a stalker. It just means they are not so wrapped up in their own life that they are oblivious to Hatrack happenings. [Wink] No comment on which is healthier . . .

Libbie, I'm really not sure of your favorite resin. It could be a Rose, but that doesn't seem right, I don't think it's a Bogucki, you certainly don't seem the type to love Matriarch (though she's lovely, she's a QH), a Gerhardt? Or maybe it's an Eberl? Do let me know. I only collect mini's, and have a terrible love for Lesli's little walker mare.

Posted by Libbie (Member # 9529) on :

heeheehee! All the ones you think wouldn't fit me, I love! I have stumped the hatrack stalker!!

I have a huge Rose collection. Well, huge by some standards. Indy with hopefully one more on the way, Khemo, two Yesteryears (he's my fave), Caldero, three Nevadas. The Boguckis are my next-most-collected artists. And I ADORE Matriarch! I used to have three, but I sold them all in desperate times. [Frown] I have plans to get a couple more.

Ooh, I used to have a Southern Belle! She is so cute. Another one I kick myself for having sold. [Frown]

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

Rose just seemed too normal, everyone loves her, I mean that makes sense she's near godlike in sculpting skill, but still (I have hadrian, he's precious). Bogucki is wonderful actually, Kathi tried to steal my dog a few years ago. Matriarch is fabulous, you just didn't strike me a QH person [Wink] .

Southern Belle is so rarely thought of, but when you do, she's this fabulous little thing, absolutely true walker.

I don't know the thread. I have no idea what thread it was that I used to finally lure Coccinelle into posting. Gilmore Girls, maybe? Something quilting? I can see me deliberately starting a thread that demanded Catherine's expertise.

Hmm...I have one. What's the situation with me and grad school?

Look how close our post counts are now.

Glynn, I think you hate because you're an innocent teddy bear who doesn't know how to not hate.

You and grad school? I think you started in texas, but haven't found one in DC yet. Though I may have missed an update.

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

It's not stalking if it's about me.

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

That is really close, since I was more or less guessing on the second one.

Sure it is, just not in the direction originally suggested.

Hatrack Stalker, eh? Well, give these a shot. Odds are you don't know.

1) When is my Birthday?
2) What is my favorite meal for dinner? (This hasn't changed in over 10 years)

Posted by blacwolve (Member # 2972) on :

I knew that MidnightBlue was Julie.

Edit: Are you saying I'm not good enough to be stalked?

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

I'll tell you why later, k kara.

Stan I don't think I know but you're a young male so I'll go with steak.

What's my husband's birthday? What are his parents names? What's the name of the village we live in? [Big Grin] What kind of gifts do I get for my mother in law? *tee hee!*

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

Libertygirl, your real name is Caley M (I'm not using last names) you live in DeLeon Springs Florida which is really close to Daytona, and you are 16. You have three sisters and one brother, who bumped this thread.

Posted by libertygirl (Member # 8761) on :

Wow you are good.
I didn't think I'd put most of that on hatrack...weird. [Eek!] [Smile]

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

You hadn't.

Ooohh. breyer really is a stalker! And to think, she lives in Indiana, likes to knit, is an education major, is best friends with blacwolve and also knows fugu very well. Who woulda thunk such a nice girl could go so wrong?

And, ironically enough, her middle name (Marie) is the same as libertygirl's mom and older sister's middle name.

(Made the connection yet little sis?)

Posted by libertygirl (Member # 8761) on :

No, not really.

(Yes I do, but I prefer to think she has super powers [Wink] )

This is breyerchic, I just needed to change my name for the gift exchange.

Dean, I don't know lots but I do think you are female.

Bob, I'm betting on smokey, but likely it really is Bob Scopatz.

How old am I, and when is my birthday?
Where do I live?
What is my genetic background?
I haven't been here as long as some, so this should be a challenge for you. However, I have posted all these things on the forum.

ive been here a while, but dont post much, all in all these arent hard.

Whats my name, how many people do i know personally on hatrack, and who are they and what is my relationship to them.

and for the really easy ones. Favorite sports team and favorite musician/group/band/artist.

Posted by festivus (Member # 9963) on :

I'm not sure your name but I'm pretty sure it starts with a B. You know three people on hatrack.

Dr Strangelove- friend
Libertygirl- Josh's sister
Walleo- your dad.

Your favorite team is the gators and you like some heavy metal band.

I am, in fact, female. And Dean is my IRL name.

I did live with one famous hatracker for nine months. Can you guess which one?

I lived with a less-famous hatracker for eight years, but I know that there's no way you can guess that.

I'm just wondering how much information on me is extant in this forum, though I know Noemon, for one, knows lots about me.
