Is anyone else excited about the release of this game? Haven't seen much talk about it. Since both my wife and I love to play RPGs together, this one is at the top of our list.

I especially like the new feature of having fortresses that you can remodel, recruit NPCs to various positions to run your castle, build and train armies, and then fight off vast hordes as part of the main campaign. And you have to actually manage your employees to keep them happy and productive. Cool. [Cool]

Anyone have any guesses on how draining the graphics engine will be compared to Oblivion? My comp surpasses the recommended specs for both games, but Oblivion still averages 20fps for me.

My husband and I like to play this, too, but we haven't finished the first one, yet. We just got all of the extensions for it, and sometime we'll get to playing it again. So it will be a while before we get #2, but yeah, it's cool. [Smile]

I'm mostly excited about the potential for multiplayer. The original NWN's community was the best online RP community I've ever seen dedicated to a video game.

I never played multiplayer online, just through LANs. Were there a lot of good RPG player-made maps? I heard there were too many custom maps that just involved a lot of fighting. I may start doing some online when I get NWN2.

There were a lot of custom maps, and a lot of them were ATROCIOUS. But a lot of them were also very, very good.

The community was way more important. People were very dedicated to the idea of role playing, as opposed to what passes for an RP community on, for example, World of Warcraft or a similar MMO.

I thought Neverwinter Nights was the most beautiful RPG I've ever played.

I'm definitely getting NN2, even if I don't play RPGs online anymore...
