I am installing my FF7 game on my Windows XP PC, but the Yamaha synthesizer software it comes with doesn't have the correct drivers to XP since it is so old. This software isn't necessary, but the music sounds cheap without a Yamaha XG synthesizer.

Anyone here play the PC version of this game on XP that has the correct drivers for the SYXG70 (or something similar) that knows where to get these drivers. For some reason, XG stuff has become impossible to find since Yamaha's XG website terminated for some mysterious reason.

I did a while back, I don't remember the sound being that much of a search to get, but even with a handful of patches etc running FF7 on XP was never exactly smooth for me.

I'd say just do a google search for FF7 and windows XP, it might take a bit of trial and error to make it work, but...

Go to Google.

Type in the search box:

"final fantasy 7" "windows xp" patch

and you'll find a bunch of help. I can't do more than that.
