I just did two performances within an hour of each other, three performances today and four within the past 24 hours.

And our director has the flu, making this an interesting, and surprisingly successful, experiment in anarchist theatre.

We didn't even have scripts for some of our scenes (the play was written episodically) until this week.

I am feeling pretty proud of what we've pulled off right now, but I am also feeling as though I have recently ingested some dubious drugs (possibly Panda tranquilizer.)

Yeah, rest up. Performing can definitely take a lot out of you. Would love to hear more about your jaunt into the unknown if you want to tell more about your project.

The idea was the ambitious, if not insane, brainchild of my theatre teacher, to write and perform a play based on personal reactions to war and to do so in six weeks' time. Some people thought that she had been driven over the edge by the strain of putting on a large scale production of Les Mis. last year. The end result, while effective imo, is much less ambitious than the origional plans, which called for a longer play with live music (our play is only an hour long and uses recorded music.)

Sounds interesting.

We did a lot of impromptu in college, writing our own stuff and kind of making it up as we went along.

Hope all went well.
