I read Enders Game when I was in 7th grade, and in all ways that count, that book kept me alive. I am amazed, however, that a year or two after, I heard a song that I could swear was exactly Enders Game.
< since I cant post the lyrics, I hope I can recommend going out and buying the album, Hybrid Theory, by Linkin Park, and listening to the song In The End, or looking up the lyrics in some manner >
As I hear these words from the song (Linkin Park - In The End), I hear so much of Ender in it. His whole battle, and how he is used, and his relationship to Valentine and as it drifts apart. The one that sums up Valentine and Ender's relationship after so long is summed up:
"Things aren't the way they were before You wouldn't even recognize me anymore"
Think about how Ender and Valentine were before the battleschool, then think about the day on the lake. Valentine sees him obliterate the wasp from existance, and she stares at him.
Well, I have always felt this song was the epitome of Ender's relationship psyche in the story.
I just thought I would throw that in.

Sorry for posting them, from the forums i've been to, lyrics are not usually limited, as long as the song is cited, and quoted. But I understand.

Sorry Cyrus... I don't see the relation to Ender's Game at all in that song.
I think we all do that though.. assign meaning to songs that the artist never intended. This makes us identify with the song and like it more. I think that's why artists are often times so deliberately vague with their lyrics.
Scott Adams once noted that the parts of his work that ended up on people's walls weren't necessarily the funniest of his comics. They were the ones the people identified with.

I see it. I don't know I would've seen it normally, but I do see it. Now we'll have to see if the next time I listen to that song I get the urge to read Enders Game.

Dashboard Confessional has a song called "Ender Will Save Us All."
Not sure the relation of the lyrics to Ender's Game...
Perhaps there's some sort of vague anti-romance metaphors connecting the two...

You need to be fairly good at lyrical analysis to see the meaning in the words of songs, and need to be very empathetic for the ability to relate those meanings to people.
The Wall, by Pink Floyd, is probably the most venturous musical analysis story ever made. It took me months to fully define the story, and all that was going on.
The relation is there, you just need to be able to percieve it. I do lyrical analysis for entertainment, and have for the last 6 years, so I am pretty confident the link is there.

It is quite possible to be 'fairly good at lyrical analysis' and 'very empathetic' and still come to different conclusions about the same piece. In fact it happens all the time .
