Ok, so I'm just lamenting the fact that the holiday's are comming up and I seem to be the only person in my family without a significant other. I think part of the problem might be the guys I like. The other day a coworker was talking about some singer she thought was really gorgeous, and I didn't think so, so she asked me who I DID think was cute. I couldn't think of anyone, so I looked around the assembly until I spotted a relatively attractive fellow... Only, later, when he stood up... he was wearing suspenders. He can't be much older than me (I'm 25).

So that's my thing... you know you're a nerd when.... you're attracted to guys under 30 in suspenders.

Ack, someone help me!!!

Was he also wearing a tuxedo? If so, then it is perfectly normal, otherwise, it is pretty strange.

In the words of Morpheus

I'm a nerdy guy (no suspenders, unfortunately) and I can certify that we are indeed hot.

Nothing wrong with liking nerdy guys, go ask one on a date. If you've ever seen Revenge of the Nerds, you know that nerds make great lovers. True movie.

lol... maybe they do, but you have to get them to TALK to you first.

That being said, my first boyfriend was at Caltech, so I know all about nerdy guys. Still, the suspenders were just a bit... more visual than I was used to. (and yes, there WAS a pocket protector, but no tuxedo - thank goodness, this was at WORK).

Suspenders are fun.

Just ask them about video games, star trek, math, science, or Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I bet they can talk your ear off.
