I'm wondering if anybody wants to see them in Orlando or possibly Clearwater. Tickets go on sale a week from tomorrow.

When is it? If I'm home I wouldn't mind going.

January 25th, if memory serves.

I saw the subject line before I saw who'd created the thread, and my first thought was "oooh, Icarus does!".

Hehehe

Eh, I'll be up in Tally again. Oh well.

:-\
Some other time, then.

What day of the week is that? I am not a huge fan, but I do like some of their stuff.

Yeah, what day of the week? I'll be living there by then, maybe i'll have off?
Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :
The 24th is a Thursday--that's at the Bob Carr in Orlando. The day before, Wednesday, they'll be in Clearwater.

By the way, Wicked is coming to Tampa again in January. It's all sold out, but last year they had a lottery (which we won).

i did see Wicked on bway, but from really poopy seats. it'd be neat to see it again. for free. if i won a lottery, say. ;0p
edit: also, on a florida note, can i just say how excited i am that Wonders of Life is going to be open until the end of December? I'll be there the 15-19 and i can't wait to see it again!

I'd ask if they're coming any further South, but then I think that I'd rather not go to that concert alone.

You could go there to pick up chicks . . .
-o-
Kira, lottery Wicked tickets aren't free, but they're reasonably priced. I also saw it on Broadway (first row, center two seats, in fact) but I have to say this touring production is better than most touring productions.

There's no proper way to respond to that without turning this thread into a twelve page point/counterpoint rant.
...or maybe I just did.

You've fallen into the classic Davidson conundrum. By predicting the result of your own posting, you've averted it, and succeeded merely in killing the thread instead.

And here you thought it wasn't planned... Drat! Foiled again! And I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling intellectuals!

So . . . is anybody interested in seeing them at the Bob Carr on Thursday, January 24th?
(I hate the Bob Carr as a venue of any sort. I wish they were at the Hard Rock Live again, but I guess it makes sense that Hollywood Records would not schedule one of their bands there.)

Okay. I discovered that I can buy tickets before they go on sale to the general public tomorrow, because I am on the IG mailing list. So I will buy a pair. If someone ends up going with me, great. If not, I will find someone to drag.
(If I should buy more than a pair, let me know before around 10 am tomorrow [Tuesday] morning.)

Looks like I've got a taker. When Cor heard I got second row tickets she decided she'd go after all. So . . .
Posted by Nighthawk (Member # 4176) on :
I'm taking odds that Cor's going to get hit on more than you are. Any takers?
Enjoy the show nonetheless!
And who's Bob Carr?
Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :
Someone who gets crappy theatres named after him.
Posted by Nighthawk (Member # 4176) on :
Oh... Duh. For some reason I thought you were referring to a person and not a location.
Well, at least your venues don't change names every six months. I forget what Coral Sky Amphitheater is called these days. Or the National Car Rental Center. Or Joe Robbie Stadium. Or... aw, forget it.
