If you're going to Dobie a thread that's a year-and-a-half old, it really needs to be a lot better than that. Sorry, no points.

Whoa... I hadn't even realized that was an old thread until you mentioned it.

Baldrick:
"Hear the words I sing / War's a horrid thing / So I sing sing sing / ding-a-ling-a-ling."

"How many of them can we make die!?"
Best battle song ever.

Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" comes immediately to mind...

but how about that little ditty Pippin sings in Return of the King?

That little ditty does NOT make me want to chop an orc's head off.

So, "The Trooper" then...

I like the music from the Return of the King cartoon better.

"Where there's a Whip There's a Way" and "Win the Battle Lose the War." Better than Pippin's lament.

"You are standing in the eye of the storm,
move an inch, and you'll be dead.
You are standing underneath, the towers of the teeth,
where the eye, blazes red.
Win the battle lose the war,
choice of evils yours to choose: Retreat!"
