This woman is amazing. She calls herself the Ugly Fat Lady, but she's really not ugly at all. Her videos are really funny, and she obviously has a natural talent before the camera.

I tried but couldn't find the video where she runs over a candy bar with her car (to keep from eating it). Instead I settled for this one:

She doesn't always recite poetry, but she's almost always optimistic and funny. I need to lose some serious poundage, so I plan on watching her even more next year.

Those two were kind of interesting.

But having now seen Day 1, where she decides that being pretty is more important than being intelligent . . . yeah. I won't be watching any more of her.

Well, I can't watch YouTube from here, but I don't remember getting that at all from Day 1. I'll have to re-watch it at home...

Yes, she has mentioned wanting to look more attractive. Who doesn't? But she also wants to be healthier and get in shape. If she wasn't serious about it, she wouldn't do the video blogs.

As far as being pretty vs. being intelligent...I don't see why you can't have both. Let's face it, we live in a visual world and most guys are not attracted to plus-size women. I'm over 200 lbs. myself and am for anything that can keep me motivated while dieting.

This is why I'll never understand the NAAFA (http://www.naafa.org) and similar groups. I mean, fat acceptance to what degree? Am I supposed to TRY to get fatter? If 200+ lbs. is okay, why not 300 or 400 lbs.? And what about all the health problems being fat causes? I have high blood pressure and get winded walking up stairs. Should I simply "learn to accept" this and not try to change?

Anyway, she's obviously not perfect but I still like her.

I'm not looking for perfection; I'm looking for a healthy attitude.

I'm up to day 11, and I've been enjoying them. I'm watching them in order... I can't NOT watch them in order. That'd be wrong.

I like her attitude, and I can't fault her for that statement. I think in one way she was joking, but in another she wasn't--she's tired of being overlooked, and I can understand that. It's not like she's going to stop being smart.

I completely agree, Katarain (good nickname!). I've been watching them for a few months now, and I'm up to Day 123 or something. You can see that she's lost around 30 lbs. so far.

One of the funniest ones is this one:

And also a very quick one:

How do you get YouTube to display them in order? I have to look for "Day XXX" and click around a lot.
