I thought it did. Hmm, welp we'll be watching it soon! [Smile]

EDIT: Wow, hilarious!

Yes, it's aired. [Smile]

I loved it. It was better, because the writers of "Avenue Q" did the songs and the Ms. Miller character was Stephanie D'Abruzzo, who was in the OBC of the same show. [Smile]

D'oh! I was going to watch that, and forgot about it! I can't even remember what we were doing, but it wasn't watching or recording Scrubs. [Frown]

Great episode. I heard that since the episode was so expensive, NBC is going to sell the soundtrack on iTunes to recoup some money.

I loved how the music included so many different styles. From the Les Mis march, to Grease, to what sounded to me like a "Modern Major General" meets Dr. Cox musical number.

Too bad NBC doesn't do what ABC does and allow you to watch recent episodes on their site.

I wouldn't mind if they released the "cast album" on CD, like they did with "Once More With Feeling". [Cool]

Yup. However, that CAN be watched the next day (and for several weeks thereafter) at abc.com.

I saw the show and I absolutely loved it. It's also on iTunes for those people who want to buy it. I have to say though that I have Guy Love stuck in my head, and I can't get it out. Still, awesome show.

Good times. I haven't seen the Scrubs musical yet (I plan to), but the Buffy musical was fantastic, all the more so because they KNEW they were singing but couldn't stop it.

that was fantastic. I've been catching reruns of scrubs recently(Comedy Central airs them back to back every day starting at 7pm) and I've been loving every episode I've seen.

I was dying the other day during one episode. This is what had me going.

How many seasons has the show been out for? I feel like the episodes I'm seeing are somewhere in the season 3-4 range, but that's just a guess.

Five, six seasons? Something like that.

Okay just finished watching the musical episode. Mixed reaction. I liked it, but I liked "Once More With Feeling" a LOT more.

I think the difference was mainly that the music from this felt a lot more appropriate for a stage, whereas other televised musicals you usually see have a more, well, movie like feel to them. It was jarring to see it like that, and to be honest it felt just too cheesy (and I usually enjoy cheesy). "Guy Love" was a great song though. They sampled a lot of different musical styles, perhaps most notably Grease.

And I take issue with the "musicals always have happy endings" thing at the end. The actual ending of the episode was closer to the truth, that most musicals have bittersweet endings.

And just wanted to add, that I LOVE the continued references that Dr. Cox makes to the Detroit Red Wings. In the second episode of the current season, he was wearing a "Cheli's Chili Bar" t-shirt, that being the restaurant in downtown Detroit that Wings assistant captain Chris Chelios owns and operates. Love it!

This is the show's sixth season. And for everyone else, rumor is that the cast had so much fun doing the musical episode that they may have talked Zach Braff into staying on for a seventh and final season (he had been planning to leave at the end of the year to further pursue his film career).

The last interview I read with Zach Braff (maybe a month ago) said that he'd never said one way or the other if he was leaving, but that it was something to consider, so everything "confirming" that he's leaving or staying has merely been rumor and speculation.

He also said in the interview that doing a show like Scrubs is a once in a lifetime thing, and you don't just throw something like that away.

I sort of wish the YouTube clip had included the tender ballad the entire cast sings before her operation. It may not have been a "fun" song, but it was a very sweet one.
