So about 2 months ago I found this and have been using it as a way to pass the time during my breaks at work.

It appears that the original author probably forgot about it. I need help, though. I am only one man. I know a lot of pop culture, but I am only one geek. I put you to the task. Help me with this list. I want to see what other people add to it.

//Keep it mind that I have barely even delved into most sections of this list.

Yeah, I got kind of bored with that part of the list.

This looks like a fun project to help with [Smile] Question though, were you planning on having 'Anime' TV shows in a seperate section than 'Animated Series' TV shows? In my mind there is a difference (maybe a subsection on 'Animated Series' TV shows?).

I didn't start the list. I've only run with what I've been given. The beautiful thing about the list is how you feel it should be organized is how you should organize it. If you feel there is adequate distinction between Animated TV Series and Anime TV series in pop culture, by all means.

Anime's lacking... You have Akira, at least, but no Ghost In the Shell?

And 2001: A Space Odyssey is misspelled.

Under MMORPG you don't list Everquest... Under artists you should at least list Escher... I could name others.

The Hand that Rocks the Cradle?!? What's that doing there???

So how does this work exactly? I could provide entries right here, which would be easier for me.

Whatever works best. I say if you know how to edit, have at it. I only do this for about 30 minutes a day and while I'm at work.

If you prefer just put your suggestions on this thread and I'll take care of it.

The thing that is really sitting heavily on my mind is orginization. Like.. what belongs where, what categories should I add.

I added Ratatouille for Pixar. It looks like a decent movie.

Well, here are some that I can think of in five minutes... This should start some discussion.

Anime:
- Ghost In the Shell

Movies, Cult Classics:
- Plan 9 From Outer Space should go more in "Cult Classics" than "Sci Fi"
- Sam Raimi: The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness. Possibly add "Ash"/Bruce Campbell as a subcategory.

Movies, Horror:
- George Romero: Night of the Living Dead

Movies, Sci-Fi, Human Nature:
- Planet of the Apes (the original)

Movies, Action:
- No "Action" category? Where would you put a movie like Boondock Saints?

Movies, Suspense:
- Alfred Hitchcock means nothing without listing Psycho and North By Northwest.

Animated Series:
- How about cult anime series, like Voltron, Thundercats, et. al.?

Children's Series:
- Mighty Morphing Power Rangers (I hate to add that to a list, but one has to)
- Bear In the Big Blue House?
- Blue's Clues?

Variety/Sketch:
- SNL

Games:
- Old School: Marathon
- MMORPG: Everquest
- RTS: Command and Conquer

Websites:
- Fark ( http://www.fark.com/ )

Illustrators and Artists:
- M.C. Escher

Poets and Authors:
- Edgar Allen Poe: The Raven at least. Possibly others.

Techonology Fads:
- Misspelled "Tamagochi"

Wow, that list should provide hours of entertainment. I've already added several listings, and plan to add many more soon. Thanks for the link.
