Cool stuff!. Completely makes sense, given the history of the drug, but still!

Yikes, 16 weeks early and they managed to save the baby! That is really neat.

That's awesome.

Every time I read about a baby born that small, I think of Aerin, and what a miracle that she is still with us and thriving. [Smile]

Even if her mother won't tell me what size she wears now. [Wink]

I know some young people who take it for heart problems.

Its cool to see it helping in these situations.

That's what is know as off-label use of a drug and there are lots of cases where that can help preemies (though this is the first I've heard of using Viagra).

Aerin got Indocin (Indomethacin) to close her PDA (hole in her heart) and caffine to help her remember to breathe. I got Indocin to stop my contractions and Reglan to boost my milk supply. Indocin is mostly used for arthritis pain and Reglan is mostly used for reflux.

kq, there's not just one answer - I'll email you. [Smile]

I also read the other articles in the Times. I'm so shocked and overwhelmed that it's only now that I can even try to think about them rationally. Thank G-d Aerin was born in America.
