Well, my daughter is totally immersed in the life and music of Jack and Meg White, and I am slowly but surely becoming a bit hooked, myself. It is not really my style of music, but it both are excellent musicians. And I cannot get certain lyrics out of my head, and find myself humming them all day.

They have Beatles, they have Led Zeppelin, they have strong voices of their own.

"I just don't know what to do with myself..."

The White Stripes are listenable, but let's be honest: Meg White is in no way, shape or form a talented musician.

Meg White is good for jack in that she is the right person to be playing with him. The talent is obviously with Jack, but yea I agree they have alot of interesting stuff in their roster.

I think in terms of favorite song its a toss up between "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground." and "We're gonna be friends."

The songs are way different in style.

I like Dead Leaves purely for the video. Man, that video is great.

I'm really enjoying the Raconteurs as an alternative to his efforts with "One-Beat-Meg".

But her one-beat ways are what I like.
It is simple, raw music, and you don't find that much in commercial music these days.

That's fine, but one of my prerequisites for "talented" in a professional drummer with "couldn't be replaced with any number of middle school percussionists."

I want to like them, because the guitar is catchy, but the drums are boring, and I can't stand Jack's voice.

He seems to be a talented writer, I wish he'd get someone else to play and sing his music.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Stripes, but it does get a bit repetitive.

I absolutely love the White Stripes. Meg's useless, but what law requires that all members of a band contribute to it?

In fact, I'd rather find a band I enjoy with some useless members than the reverse, like Blink 182. One of rock's better drummers, wasted on a bag'o'crap cookie cutter band.

They need to get a bass player.

Sounds like somone else I know. I'll give you a clue, his first name rhymes with Rob and his last name ends in ylan.

Shush Jumbo, Elizabeth and I (and I assume others) think Rob ylan can sing

Ditto.
I have to say, this is my daughter's band, and I am glad it is her band. (she also loves the Raconteurs. Let's face it, she is in love with Jack White)

I think Meg gives the whole thing a garage band feel. Remember, I am a live music addict, so I love imperfection.

Oh, and leave ob-Bay ylan-Day out of this.

Also, leave Bubbob Dubbylubban out of this, too.
