So, I am reading a book by Neal Stephenson, a magnificent author, undoubtedly one of the best of this, and the last century.

In any case, I was reading up on him, and found that he is compared to Thomas Pynchon quite a bit. I ordered Gravity's Rainbow from the local library, but wanted to know what your thoughts were on said author and his works.

I think he's one of the funniest authors of his generation. Gravity's Rainbow is a classic, and got robbed of the Pulitzer Prize.

I don't know about Pynchon, but Stephenson is awesome. His books are geeky, thoughtful, sprawling, and hilarious.
