Welcome to the club!

After dreading it for a year and a half, I was so relieved when 30 finally came. Now I could stop worrying about it and just enjoy life.

Well, the party has finally ended and somehow my best friend (who's also very hot) is passed out in my bed. Hehehe... Ugh, but I think I caught a cold! This sux...

But on a good note, I'm on my sixth day of not smoking. [Big Grin]

So I had a nice party... fine dining at a fancy resturant. Might have been a little too formal, but it was fun. Had about 20 family and friends show up. I almost feel like it was too much ado...but hell, it was my 30th. The next few years I'll keep it low key, wait till I'm 35 or 40 for another big shindig.

I think that for most people, the landmark years (30, 40, 50, etc) are always surprising, you never feel like you've done enough, and -- lo and behold! -- how the heck did that icon from your childhood ever get so scraggly-faced? [Smile]

But the years pass, we learn things, we keep from killing others, and we make better sense of how things work. That's pretty good. I'm happy with that.
