Neat. I had seen the stuff in the first half of the trailer (or so) before, but after that point it was all new stuff for me. I liked it. I also can't wait for the movie to come out.

I love that trailer, but I'm really concerned about their ability to give sufficient screen time to three major villains. The first few trailers made it seem like the Sandman was the principle villain, then the Green Goblin, then both, and Venom was enough of an afterthought that most people were speculating Peter wouldn't discard the symbiote until the end of the movie, at which point Brock would pick it up and setup sequel 3. This latest trailer, though, gives Venom enough screen time that it's clear he's going to be a major part of this film. Both the Harry Osbourne and Venom storylines are huge parts of the Spiderman universe; how are they going to effectively combine the two, plus Sandman, in this film?

From what I've heard, Harry's story in this movie is different from Harry's story in the comics (obviously it would be, but this is more so). Supposedly he's only on the attack against Peter near the very beginning of the film. Shortly after Peter's get the symbiote (I guess), he gets pumpkin bombed, which results with him in the hospital (which can be seen in the various trailers). Later on Peter has to ask him for help (as can be seen by the location of the shot when Peter asks for help in the first trailer). So (and this is mostly speculation now) Harry will only be a villain initially and may even aid Peter towards the end of the film.
As far as Sandman goes, my assumption is that he's only in the first half of the movie or so. We see Peter go after him first with the normal suit and then with the symbiote suit. My guess is by about the halfway point or so, he has beaten Sandman (perhaps too badly), then he regrets all the actions the symbiote suit has caused him to do. My guess is shortly after the halfway point we have the scene in the bell tower where Peter gets rid of the suit and Eddie Brock gets it.
That leaves most of the second half for the resolution of both the Harry arc (with either another confrontation between him and Peter or with him changing sides and helping Peter) and the Venom arc. It seems like enough time to do it all. I could be wrong though. All of this is just speculation from rumors I've heard and reports I've read.

I'm worried because I don't really care about the bad guys. I never did. They are bad. For me, the Spiderman movies were about Spiderman dealing with his sense of noblesse oblige, in a world where he is markedly stronger and poorer than everyone. That was good story fodder. There was no need for an external conflict. This movie seems like Spiderman has a steroid problem. It's just not as compelling. Actually, it could be compelling if there is some sort of intervention, where all of the people he has helped out come to his rescue and try to save his soul, but I don't know. Strike what I said, this movie could rock my socks.

Well, his entire conflict with Harry Osborn stems from his motto, Irami. Not just because if he hadn't taken it, he never would've squared off against Norman Osborn, but because he keeps it, and that's kept him from telling Harry Osborn the truth about his father, even at the expense of having Harry as a murderous, hate-filled enemy.
