maybe he would have produced some works a bit like this.

I love the one of the water turning into the robed people chiseling the architecture.

If Escher did photography, it might have looked like this.

Some of the first guy's work should totally be used in a remake of Peter Pan

Here's another photographer in this style:

...and another who's not exactly Escheresque but he's very cool nonetheless (CAUTION: contains nudity!):

Hmm, now I'm looking at more Rob Gonsalves, and it's reminding my of Chris Van Allsburg...

Thanks martha. Those are great too.

Try this one on for size.

This isn't the best version of it I've seen, but I couldn't find a better file on short notice.

Edit: Here's a better version

I think all of these are great. [Smile]

I don't understand the thread title, though. Escher did lots of color work -- my parents have several lithographs, as well as a book of his work. Color was not his predominant medium, but he did use it a fair bit.

The pictures are great. I just ordered a Rob G book for my nieces. [Smile]

I have this habit of getting books mailed to them whenever I run across something I think they'd like. At first their mother used to call to confirm it was me, but I think they just kind of assume it's from me now.
