...he might sound something like this.

Warning, a few bad words here and there. And, if you aren't entertained by Colbert, you probably won't be entertained by this guy.

I, however, think he's hillarious. [Smile]

thanks javert. that was great. I've actually seen his creation science 101 video before and didn't realize he had so many other videos up.

I just watched "What if the Beatles were Irish" and was dying the whole time.

Who says Colbert can't sing? http://youtube.com/watch?v=TL8YHc2TV5U

My personal favorite is "Ted Haggard is Completely Heterosexual".

Colbert can sing very well, actually. He's sung several times on his show and on the Daily Show's "Indecision 200" DVD collection there's an extra clip of him and the other corresponents performing a surprisingly good acapella national anthem.

...perhaps I should rename the thread to "If Colbert went around with a guitar." [Wink]

this guy is my new hero.

you know, I think I like his little stand up bits better than the actual songs that follow them.

No, I take it back. Colbert is still my hero.

That ain't his only talent. [Wink]

(For the uninitiated, Colbert and Sedaris are actually close friends, and worked together with the guy who plays Tad, the building manager, on the original "Strangers With Candy.")

I finally got around to listening to that.

Friggin hilarious javert, thanks for the post.

Secondly, I really liked that Barry Manilow song, and wow, they really sounded pretty great together in that duet.

Hmm. I thought Colbert was flat, at least when he sang alone. (Except the sustained note at the end, which was cool.) They had nice harmony, though.

And is it me, but has it gotten all too easy to believe Barry when he sings "I've been alive forever"? [Wink]

He's the Henry Clay of the music world.

I just posted something about this guy here a few days ago.

Some of his stuff was realy funny. Some of it not so funny.
