Alright, it's late at night, and I'm not falling asleep in an ideal fashion. Why not get something that's been bothering me for a while off my chest? Besides for the fact that -- because of an innocuous forum post -- I now see the lightbuld as a woman squeezing into a tight corset...
I was teaching for a while as an assitant at a school in the middle of nowhere. They were teaching the kiddies decimals, which is always nice. So they used dollars...
$.50 is 50 cents, they start, and so on. Then...
.50 [cent symbol]? I mean what?? It's not half of a penny that you're trying to represent, it's 50 cents, argh. And I never said anything.
