submit resume to blayne.bradley@gmail.com, not really required but nice to keep track of recruits.

Positions:
----------

Extra
Main Character
Recurring Character
Cameraman
Scriptwriter
The Other Guy we can make fun of.

Extra:-
-No particular skills required, just be semi mature at least and own Battlefield 2, or at least have it installed and playable via hamachi or direct connect.
-Will be "extra", meant to stand around, or die, or both, or fight and then die, or inadvertently become a plot point where you fight, stand around and then inadvertently die.

Main Character:-
-Needs to be fluent in English, but if you can speak other languages that'll be nice.

-Own Bf2/or be able to play it, and have a microphone.

-Purpose will be to act as the major key character who will generally appear in every episode. Possible that this role can be fulfilled without the use of BF2, but instead will record voice when reading from a script.

Recurring Character:

Same as major character except you show up less often, and you are probably a villain or some person of contention, be able to speak English, have a mike and recording software, no BF2 really required as your recurring ness will make it at least conceivable to just read from a script and we'll sync it.

Cameraman:

-Be able to understand English, you dont have to speak it, just understand directions.

-Experience in media arts would be nice.

-Own/be able to play BF2.

-Mike not required per se but if you have it we can have chatty dialogged while in production to pass the time.

-Scriptwriter

-Speak english, have a mic and willing to use teamspeak.

-possess some rudimentary knowledge of Canada.

-possess some sort of experiance and ability to write dialogge and give it creativity and life.

-Will be aiding in the brainstorming creative process of creating scripts.

The Other Guy:

-Have a microphone and teamspeak.

-You are essentially our goffer and can do whatever he wants role wise but be aware your sole purpose is to have it so that I am made/poked fun at less and put focus on you.

The purpose of this is that me and some friends are hoping to film and upload a webisode series inspired by RedvsBlue. It'll take place within the BF2 engine, and will focus on Canadian soldiers fighting the War on Terror, probably focus in Afghanistan. While RvB liked to make the occasional crack at US culture and military humor I'ld from a creative personal stand point like to make it focus on Canadian societal and military humor.

So far, it is just me and 2 friends of mine from my college but we do this with teamspeak and battlefield 2 and it would be nice to have additional help to increase our options for scripting. Any input would be nice.

I have Battlefield 2 and it sounds fun. The tirck would be to schedule every one.

Do I need to get my Microphone working?

Posted by Blayne Bradley (Member # 8565) on :

it would be preferred but not contingent, as long as you have a mic shouldnt take you long to plug it in and config it.

I have it pluged in but I've never used it in the game if that's what your wanting.

What is the basis/feel/style of the Webisodes? IOW, are you going for a RvB rip off or trying for something unique?

Posted by Blayne Bradley (Member # 8565) on :

unique, inspired by RedvsBlue and machinima in general, and given the idea to make it a more Canadian satirical political commentary by a healthy combination of red vs blue and Colbert.

Ok I got it downloaded and installed.

What do I do now?

Posted by Blayne Bradley (Member # 8565) on :

configure it and make sure it works, best way to do so is to connect to 69.70.141.215, no password I am there usually all day.
