I'm not quite sure what to think, apparently there's 2 openings for it. Hmm...

The thought terrifies me.

guess you wont be flying anytime soon then [Smile]

End of this month, actually.

::::shudders:::

Going to Canada, Kwea?

Just as long as Blayne doesn't get drunk and grope anyone, I wouldn't worry. After all, you don't have to be able to spell well to do airport security.

Dude man, not kosher.

*bites tongue*

I was gonna say something rude and spiteful but I won't.

Posted by Blayne Bradley (Member # 8565) on :

And mentioning that you are thinking of something rude and spiteful is oh so much better.

It's a little better....

Good luck? I'm not sure what you were looking for in terms of responses.

well in all honesty I am giving Hatrack a chance to poke a little bit of fun in the interest of friendliness and to gauge whether I really should work somewhere 40 minutes away at a job that pulling a Blayne would prove possibly to be disasterious. However some people just can't seem to be polite at best when the urge to cross that thin red line is simply overwhelming.

If you think you can do it, then go for it. As for me, based on your online persona, I don't think it'd suite you. Just my opinion.

my dad seems to be pushing for me to do it, but its 40 minutes away and by that logic working somewhere closer would probably be better like Futureshop or Microbytes.

Posted by Earendil18 (Member # 3180) on :

We used to have a Futureshop but it was "Best Bought" (badum tsshh).

Work where you want, just try and stay there a good amount of time.

In the US, at least, the airport would be the better choice most of the time...at least in the long run.

Do whatever will be best for you as a person and for your professional career further down the path.

k well I sent a CV as I believe that otherwise my parents would probably kick me out of the house if I didn't, but I have to wonder apparently they also want my younger brother to send a cv but he refused and supposedly came to an agreement with ym mom about it, my dad has nonetheless forced me behind his back to send a cv regardless of the wishes of my younger brother.

Hmm.

Eh? Your brother doesn't want to send a CV, so your father shouldn't force you to do so? That makes no sense.

"I"m sorry sir, but I have to confiscate this assault rifle and report you to the authorities."

"What? But I have to get home and try out this Halo 3 press release demo... Anyway you can help me?"

[3 hours later]

"Good afternoon, this is CNN. This just in..."

The title plus the poster's name are just rife with possibilities, aren't they, NightHawk?

Blayne: 40 minutes is a pretty lengthy commute, if you are driving both ways thats almost 1.5 hours in the car every day. Unless you have public transportation or a car pool in which case you only have to worry about the time that is lost.

If it feels like a good job for you, jump on it, nothing lost in applying right? Or even showing up for an interview to get questions answered.

The fact your parents might kick you out if you don't take it is something to consider. Maybe take the job and actively look for another one if it sucks?

Either way, get a job, you need money if you want to buy new videog games [Wink]

*Is currently saving up for a new computer for when SC2/Fallout3 come out*

If it makes you feel better, Blayne, I wasn't going to say anything rude or spiteful. I was just eager to see what other people wrote, purely for entertainment purposes.

Parents are going to kick him out?

Dude, cut the cord and move to Vancouver. I hear it's a film mecca now, maybe you can be a production assistant (read: get actors food)
