Well, the first thing you have to do in GUN is put the disc in the drive (push the eject button first!). Then, making sure your controller is plugged in (that's the little wire dangling from the part with the buttons), you push the power button.

I'm stuck on the part where you're supposed to blow up the canyon on top of MacGruder. I've used all of my ammo for everything, and the canyon won't come down. No matter how much of his dynamite I blow up.

I haven't played the game, but I found this: "You can hurt Magruder only when he's moving on the 'geyser' - shoot at it (geyser) with the dynamite bow. The geyser will explode, of course hurting the enemy [1]. When Magruder's health level decreases, he'll run to the rocky shelf. Hit him with the rifle, wait until he throws the large dynamite pack and then use it against him [2]. Do it few times, and the cavern will finally collapse on Magruder."

This was possibly the stupidest part of that game.
Basically, you have to hit him with dynamite when he's standing on one of the "grey spots".
Apparently, his armor protects him from being shot in the head, despite not wearing any actual armor there.
Grr.

I beat it. I wasn't close enough to him when I was blowing up the dynamite. He threw it, I shot it, and it did nothing. I just needed to get closer where it was much easier to die.

I remember spending a hell of a lot of time on that phase because nowhere what that explained. Apparently out of luck, I ended up hitting him at the right time to get through it.
And, as far as the dynamite, you have to hit it in the air, early enough so that it will affect his immediate area and take out the support columns.
