I prefer David Gilmore for some reason. He did that nice vocal layering thing and had a great guitar style. Roger Waters is making me annoyed for some reason I cant' figure out.

Roger Waters. I think his songwriting is better and he did more to shape and influence the band after Syd left. If it had remained up to Gilmore, I don't think PF would ever have reached the level they eventually did.
But I understand about the ill feelings towards Water. He is the one that tried to extinguish the band when the other members wanted to keep playing, and he does insist on playing solo, even when the other members of PF are playing at the same show. Also, his newer material that's all about saving the wildlife is trite and annoying (IMO, of course).

I 100% prefer the Roger Waters influenced Pink Floyd over the early Barrett years and later Gilmore years(WYWH, Dark Side, and Animals are my favorites). But I'd probably hang out with Gilmore over Waters any day. Waters is a pompous jerk.
Gilmore's album from the other year was pretty cool.

I totally agree with this. I do like elements of the Barrett years and the post-Waters stuff but as a whole, the Waters stuff is my favorite.
