I'm having fun with Windows Vista speech recognition software. Started playing with it today. I have a question though- does anyone know if it's possible to type in my most commonly used password and just be able to say "password" and it will be typed?

Well, if your password is "password", then yes. [Wink]

No, no it's not. But it's got 8 letters including one from the word 'password' There's got be some sort of program that can do that I would think. I'd probably never use it anyways- but it might be nice.

What you're looking for is probably voice recognition aka voice verification (as opposed to speech recognition). The old Mac OS had that built in, so that it could recognize who was speaking the password phrase. I don't know of any consumer level windows products to do this.

The funnest time anyone had with speech recognition software was recorded on bash.org.
