Yes. As long as there isn't mold or anything on it, it should be good. We used to have expired yogurt donated to a group home where I worked. Eat!

The other one expired on Jun 29th I think. That's going back to the store. I figure it should be ok for a little while, the one that expired yesterday. I haven't had a stomach ache this bad in ages and yogurt really helps a lot.

Of course! It's yogurt. It's already gone sour. Sniff/taste a little first, to make sure that it's not gone weird, but honestly, I've had yogurt that was farther gone than that, and it was fine.

The Yoplait I eat actually says on the container that it's ok to eat up to 5 or 7 days after the date on the container. I can't remember which one.

I never eat stuff that I have to ask that question about "Is it okay to eat or not?"
After having had food poisoning a few times, the question of "Would I rather risk food poisoning or waste a few dollars throwing out food?" always gets answered the same way.

Never-opened plain yogurt is good for 2-4 weeks past the sell-by date. Opened yogurt is good for a much shorter time. In general, yogurt that is bad is visually and olfactorily obvious -- color changes, smells off, etc.

It wasn't so bad. But I won't eat the yogurt expired at June 17th.... No way.

More relevant, it's already been colonized by one type of bacteria, so it's unlikely to become contaminated by the common types that cause dairy products to spoil. Fungal infection is the main concern, and that is generally colorful and smelly.

Last week I found an unopened Dannon coffee yogurt that expired back in May. The whey had separated from the yogurt some, and I poured it off, but the yogurt part was delicious.
If it had been slimy, or the cup bulgy with gas, or it had a wonkiness to it, I would have tossed it. But it was the best darn yogurt, evah!
P.S. I'm just fine.

Should I really eat yogurt that has been left out for several hours? Especially when the top is slightly inflated? I do it anyway, but I should not.

A few bacteria are actually good for you. When I lived out of country, I often went several months without drinking fresh milk. When that happened, drinking milk would cause really bad tummy upset. Eating a cup of yogurt and then waiting a couple of hours, before drinking the milk would eliminate the problem.

I have a hard time convincing my wife that food isn't programmed to, at midnight on the date of expiration, suddenly turn poisonous like the flip of a light switch.
And she keeps baiting me with the "taste this... see if it's bad."
And she has me return expired food to Publix without telling me it's expired.
