If you didn't notice, Friday the 13th, or more strangely 7/13/7 was last Friday. Any strange experiences for this odd date?

For example, my wife and son came home from visiting in-laws. My work went a bit strange, but nothing too odd.

Oh yeah, and it was my Birthday.

I got a dragon puzzle from my son, and a scrapbook of Father/Son pictures from my wife, and for myself, I bought a set of Encyclopedias, written in 1931, that are in very good condition, for $5.00.

I fell during my sons field trip to the zoo. It was awful. I had just picked up two toddlers because we needed to take the stroller down a set of stairs (they weren't my kids), then I accidently stepped in a pothole and turned my ankle. I fell with both little boys, I felt SO awful, though the kids were both ok. I however was quite bruised and scraped up, since all of my attention had been focussed on not letting THEM get hurt during the landing. Friday the 13th luck???

The day started at 3am, I suppose, with taking my grandma to the hospital.

Later on, I bought a red sateen bedsheet and dressed up in a toga for Caesar's birthday. Also my sister's birthday. (And, just to make the day even awesomer, the birthday of Gnaeus Julius Agricola, the Chafing Avenger.)

I got a big lump on the back of my head that turned out to be a staph infection. Hey maybe there is something to this Friday the 13th thing! [Razz]

Happy birthday, Dan.

O_O to the rest of you.

I had a pretty good Friday. After not being inside a movie theatre in like 8 months, I saw two movies -- Ratatouille and HP5. [Big Grin]

My home was invaded by trolls on Friday the 13th. Well, one Troll, anyway. Other than that, nothing much.

I made an awesome nectarine cobbler and ate a big piece with some whipped cream. I feel like that went a long way towards saving the day.

One of my coworkers fell down four times in the same hallway. She came in with one side of her clothes all wet.

I missed the train and arrived late to work, butother than that it was a pretty good day. We had aBBQ with some friends to celelbrate my 5th anniversary in Spain.

We also gave thanks for Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce (which I bought in a specialist deli ona whim). You could smear it on anything tomake it irresistable; wood, stones, burnt hamburgers etc. Hoaray!

I survived by not believing that there's anything unique about Friday the 13th [Wink]

Um, I cleaned my room on Friday, I think. That's about it. Nothing exciting.

I had to work (had requested the day off for my daughter's birthday but found out there was work I had to do that could only be done that day) and left later than I had hoped, so we missed going to the play I wanted to see. A normal day, in other words.

My best friend decided she didn't want to talk to me ever again because her boyfriend wasn't comfortable with us being friends.

It was a very weird day. I had almost nothing happen of any importance that day. It was so uneventful that I ran out of things to do and almost when home early too. However, several of my co-workers were having some of the worst days ever, lots of stuff going wrong for them. They had a few accidents and some confrontations with people. Lots of drama.

And they didn't realize it was Friday the 13th until someone told them.

We had a Friday the 13th party at work. My boss brought a skull punchbowl full of black cherry Jello and gummi worms. One coworker brought froathy sherbet fruit punch, and another dyed a yellow cake red, filled it with cherries, and decorated it like a hockey mask. We topped it all off with some black streamers and had a perfectly wonderful day.

Massive traffic jam. It took upwards of two hours to get to work, normally a 40 minute trip.

Happy birthday, Dan!

Sorry to hear it, Dante.

I survived Friday the 13th with hot fudge.

I got to go home from work an hour early because we had nothing to do. Then a friend randomly called and we went out to get pizza. Other than that I played WoW all night and dinged 40.

Happy Birthday, Dan!

I had a good Friday the 13th. Only had to work a half day. Took my son to meet with some of his friends to go away camping for the weekend. Sold my truck. Had my younger two kids come down to visit. Ate at a Chinese restaurant. Overall, a great day.

Happy Birthday Dan!

I survived by remembering that I don't believe in all that '13' stuff.

We also got up at 3 AM. Squoose and I had a 6 AM flight out of LAX. After getting to the airport, checking in and getting to the front of the security line (as in I had all things in the x-ray tubs including my shoes) I realized Squoose's car seat was still in the car, which was by then on it's way to San Diego with Pop. Thankfully, for me anyway, Superstation had thrown up so they hadn't gotten very far. The nice security people let me go to the front of the line when I came back after getting the car seat. The plane was already mostly loaded by the time I got to the gate. The nice lady at the gate found a seat with an empty seat next to it. So even though we only bought one ticket I was able to put Squoose's seat in another seat next to me. That was my only flight without having him as a lap baby.

Friday the 13th was completely uneventful, but Saturday the 14th saw me back into another car right in the middle of me trying to switch car insurance. I keep waiting for the boom to lower, I'm just praying I don't get into legal trouble and that I can repair their broken light casing and scratch to their bumper out of my own pocket. [Frown]

I pushed Jason Vorhees into combine right before he was about to emasculate the school jock.

I started the day by cleaning up cat puke, then I picked up the can of carpet spray by the lid, which proptly came off and the bottle landed on my big toe at an angle.

It still hurts and is still bruised.

Other than that, and some brief attempted murder at the hands of the Short Bus, the day went smoothly.

Overall, I'd prefer hot fudge.
