I'm listening to Abbey Road right now....on Vinyl!
I just completely unexpectedly managed to get a hold of over 20 Beatles records, including every single single studio album, and a few things I've never even heard of.
The records are all in perfect playing condition, no scratches or anything. Sadly I can't say the same about the covers. Some are pretty bad, but some are pretty decent. And most of them have the original inserts too. The poster inside the White album is freakin awesome.
I didn't even own a record player, I had to go out and buy one today!
Few things I've done have been as fulfilling as flipping this record and hearing Here Comes The Sun.

I have Yesterday And Today and Rubber Soul. The rest of my mom's beatles records were taken by an ex aunt of mine.

Well, I'm jealous that you have so many. I've had access to Abbey Road, Let It Be, and The White Album on vinyl since I was born. My dad has a sweet vinyl collection (though he wouldn't let me play them unsupervised until I was in my mid-teens). They're not in perfect condition, as they've been played relentlessly, but neither are they scratched. For myself, I love the fuzzy sound of an old vinyl record, and even the occasional hiss, pop and crack. Anyways, congratulations on the find.

I lay claim to having the longest continuously used stereo system including turntable, two reel to reel tape recorders, and a new-fashioned cassett tape recorder. If those disks are that clean, and if they were mine, I would be dubbing them with my TEAC onto tape at about 15 ips. Then I would play the tapes and keep the disks cherry. That's what I've done with all my Clevland orchestra Beethoven symphonys and my good Glen Miller. By Beatles stuff was all used and abused when I was playing that stuff with a four-piece. They all show the wear I should have taped it when new, but I didn't.

well i own all the beatles albums in mp3 format, so i can always listen to mp3s and cds. But this was just too good to pass up. I'll probably listen to them all through once or so, and after that I assume they'll be put on by request or at parties. I don't plan on listening to them exclusively.
I could also just rip the records to my computer as well.

*sigh* Abbey Road is my favorite Beatles album. I used to own it on vinyl, got it when it was first released, but it got misplaced somewhere along the way.

I've got Yellow Submarine on vinyl. The local record shops seem to sell their Beatles albums pretty quickly. Go figure. Other than that I have a pretty decent record collection: couple Led Zep, couple Allman Brothers, couple Neil Young, a Grateful Dead, couple Laurie Anderson, a William Burroughs, and my favorite prize: the original release soundtrack of A Clockwork Orange.
I enjoy vinyl because it makes the process of listening to music more active. With CDs or mp3s you can just push play and walk away for an hour or more. With vinyl you're forced to make the decision of what exactly you want to listen to every 25 minutes or so. I like that, it makes me pay attention.

I grew up with vinyl, and I have to tell all you nostalgics, I don't at all miss the hassle of having to turn the record over after 15 or 20 minuts, having to nudge the stylus arm when it sticks on a flaw, not being able to play your music because the needle's worn out and you haven't had time to get to the music store to buy a replacement, or having to put it on to a tape before you could play it in your car (or anywhere else). BUT, what I do miss is the look of a shelf full of records, and the size of an LP cover in terms of what it does for a great cover design. They just don't look as good reduced from 12" x 12" to 4" x 4". But convenience-wise, gimme cds anyday.
