Okay my router seems to be randomly not being a router basically, my modem has 4 green lights, cable, data. pc, and power.

When all 4 are green everything is ok, but recently randomly my computer(s) randomly lose connection to the internet, and when I check my router/modem my modems PC light is off, and usually simply turning my router off for 10 seconds and then on seems to help but even more recently it isn't helping like it used to.

What sort of router? I've had problems with a Netgear router locking up when there were more than a hundred or so connections. This can happen easily if several people are surfing multiple sites or if there is a p2p app running. My solution was to buy a Linksys WRT54GL so that I could have complete control over its software.

Now the only problem I have is with our PPPoE connection expiring every few days. Fortunately, the router will automatically re-establish the connection.

D-Link.

I think I maye have fixed it by switching my (router as switch) with my (router as router) and switching their DHCP responibilities.

Ooooh Almost used the f word as an adjective there [Smile]
