So they are going to have the fight between Iorek and Iofur?
It's pretty violent! They better do it right!

Ok, the extended trailer was cool. The daemons were in it. But I will try not to get excited because when I do....

Also in Lyra's world the rooms would have to be huge. What if someone had a horse or a bear for a daemon?

Maybe they never do!

Actually, i'm pretty sure I don't remember any large animals. There were, however, SO MANY BIRDS. was it just because they were more easily transportable, narratively, having their own means of getting from place to place? I just remember thinking "god, another person with a raven/falcon/hawk/dove/pigeon/crow"

I think that was explained at one point... but I can't remember. It's been a while since I've read the books. The largest one I can think of off the top of my head is Asriel's Stelmaria, the snow leopard we saw in the extended preview. Though, come to think of it (and a handy bit of quick research), Pan turned into a "dragon" when the townies were fighting the Gyptian kids. [Dont Know]

I completely geeked out over that preview. It was so cool. SO COOL!

[/geeking-out]

Edit: said "dragon" was apparently the size of a deer hound. Well, that's what I get for not reading the entire page...

Off the top of my head, wouldn't the biggest daemons have been the porpoises that caused some sailers to become sea-locked?

Probably.
It would suck to be stuck on the sea forever.
